Acting as Principal Contractor, we undertook a contract for the provision of a salt barn, adjacent to a dedicated winter service depot. The unit was developed to hold a maximum of 3,500 tones of rock salt for gritting vehicles to spread in winter conditions.
Our works included:
- Installation of 500 m2 reinforced concrete slab
- Installation of precast thrust wall units
- Ring beam construction
- Steel erection
