Project: Replacement of historic outfall from village reservoir.
Scope of works:
We were contracted to replace a historic outfall from a village reservoir which had become dilapidated. We undertook the following works to control the over flow from the dam during periods of heavy rainfall:
- Continual pumping of ground water to allow successful installation
- Installation of temporary roads enabling access without damaging the school sports grounds
- Installation of weir
- Replacement of existing culvert with 450m diameter pipe
- Resurfacing of the existing playground and re-seeding the sports field.
We programmed these works in phases so as to provide minimal disruption to the school’s operations.
